Dr. Talin Amadian was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She received her bachelor’s degree in biological sciences with honors from California State University, Northridge. She went on to Western University of Health Sciences College of Optometry, where she got her Doctor of Optometry. During this time, she was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society among other honors.
During her clinical rotations, Dr. Amadian underwent internships in Neuro-Ophthalmology, Cornea, and Refractive Surgery, as well as substantial clinical training, pre-and post- LASIK and Cataract Surgery management, Glaucoma and Ocular Disease affiliated with multiple prestigious institutions across Southern California, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is one of them. Following graduation, Dr. Amadian worked in a General Ophthalmology and Refractive Surgery setting before returning to UCLA Arthur Ashe Health Center to practice.
The California State Board of Optometry has granted Dr. Amadian TLG certification, allowing her to practice full-scope optometry and treat a wide range of eye problems and diseases in addition to prescribing contact lenses and spectacles. She is also certified by The Dry Eye Institute in Wilmington, NC in the treatment and management of ocular surface disease. Dr. Amadian has been featured in a variety of periodicals and magazines, including Women In Optometry Magazine and Vision Source OD. Hello there, everyone.
Here’s a little bio on me for those of you who haven’t met me yet. I was born in Los Angeles. I attended to University High School, spent two years at USC (despite being a die-hard Bruin supporter), and then went to UC Berkeley for optometry school. I began practicing optometry in 1977 and have always specialized in challenging contact lens fitting (which is how I met my wife) and the detection and treatment of eye diseases. My practice prides itself on having a welcoming, relaxed, and intimate environment. My patients are like family to me. I enjoy taking the time to get to know my patients on a personal level. This enables me to equip you with the correct glasses or contact lenses.
At Cedars Sinai, I began working with a group of ophthalmologists. Being a part of many of the new and revolutionary advancements in eye care, such as laser surgery, implants, and keratoconus therapies, from the beginning was a terrific experience. I’ve worked on over 11 FDA-approved laser vision correction studies and over ten FDA-approved contact lens studies. About ten years ago, I relocated to the valley. I’m currently working on new scleral lens designs for patients with keratoconus, transplants, herptic eye disease, and other advanced corneal disorders.

Dr. Cheng grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Integrative Biology from UC Berkeley and a Doctorate of Optometry from Southern California College of Optometry. She received her training at the Optometric Center of Los Angeles, as well as at the US Navy hospital in Okinawa, Japan, and at the VA West Los Angeles Healthcare System, where she gained extensive experience diagnosing and managing eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. Fitting specialist contact lenses for corneal illnesses like keratoconus and orthokeratology for myopia (nearsightedness) control are two of her passions. She enjoys visiting new restaurants and writing Yelp reviews in her leisure time, as well as practicing yoga and spending time with her husband and daughter Chloe.
